By decree of the hacks and heroes of old, your name has been called.
You have been chosen to join the Second Annual Hack & Hero Invitational, a gathering born to honor Luke's birthday and forged into legend in Year One. What began as a celebration has become a tradition. Now the story continues, and you are written into its next chapter.
From June 24–27, 2027, twenty-four men will answer the call and descend upon Treetops Resort in Gaylord, Michigan. For four days, the northern woods will echo with the crack of drivers and the roar of brothers in arms.
Two teams will rise. Four courses will test them. Only one will claim the Cup.
Every fairway is a battlefield. Every green is a reckoning. Some will play like heroes. Others will hack their way through the rough. All will be remembered.
This is no open gathering. The field is private, and each place is offered by name alone. Your seat among the twenty-four is waiting, but it will not wait forever.
Take up your clubs. Stand with your brothers. Chase the glory.

Gentlemen, year one was supposed to be a birthday trip. It turned into the best golf weekend most of us have ever had. Sixteen men, two teams, one Cup, and a group chat that started planning year two before we even drove home.
Year Two Goes Bigger
We are going to 24 men. We are moving out of the hotel and into private cottages. Every meal is handled. Everyone gets a full kit. A film crew is documenting the whole weekend. New teams, new matchups, and one year of bragging rights on the line.
Trophies will be awarded. Friendships will be forged. Memories will be made. Some of you are scratch. Some of you have not touched a club since college. Every one of you is invited, and every one of you matters to the result.

What You Get
Private Cottages
No hotel rooms. Three private cottages, 8 men per house, 4 bathrooms each. Easily sleeps 12 each, but we’re spreading out more. 8 per cottage, nobody shares a bed. Fire pits, room to spread out, and night golf in the yard.
Every Meal Handled
Chef Jamie runs the kitchen. Breakfast burritos before every tee time and steak dinners at the cottages.
Drinks & Shuttle
Cottages and carts stay stocked all weekend. A shuttle runs every round, so nobody drives.
The Film Crew
A professional videographer with us all four days. A four-part series, a recap film, and shorts you will actually want to post.

The Cup & The Prize

The contest
The Cup
- Net match play throughout.
- Four tiers by handicap: A receives 0 strokes, B +6, C +12, D +18.
- Shamble and scramble pairs are A+D and B+C. Best ball is A+B vs A+B and C+D vs C+D.
- Singles are played A v A, B v B, and so on down the card.
- Thirty points are available. First team to 15½ wins the Cup.
- Closest to the pin and long drive are contested every round except the drinking round.

Twenty-four yeses
The field is twenty-four men and not one more. A late no is harder on this week than an early one, so tell us plainly either way.

Before you ask
Questions
- What does the $2,000 cover?
- Four Cup rounds plus Threetops, the private cottages, every meal, drinks all weekend, the shuttle, the full kit and the film crew. The only thing not included is getting yourself to Gaylord.
- When is payment due?
- Once you say yes, we send you the payment details. Everything is paid in full by April 1, 2027.
- What happens after I say yes?
- You get the payment details, your spot is locked, and we ask for your handicap or honest 18-hole score so we can build fair teams.
- What if I don't carry a handicap?
- Give us an honest 18-hole score instead. Tiers are set from that, and honesty here protects the match.
- Can I arrive late or leave early?
- No. The house rules ask that you stay Thursday through Sunday morning for 4.5 rounds.
- Where are we staying?
- The Jones Cottages at Treetops Resort. A shuttle takes us to and from every round, so nobody drives.
- What should I bring?
- Your clubs, four days of golf clothes, and something for Saturday night. Your polo, hats and hoodie are waiting in your kit bag.
Four days. Two teams. One cup. We would rather have you in the field than reading about it afterwards.
